The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is the premier trade association for the home care industry in Florida. HCAF was founded in 1989 and is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving Florida home care providers and their vendors.
HCAF exists to provide representation, communication, and advocacy for these providers and give them the education and information they need to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients and clients in their homes.
HCAF represents both not-for-profit and for-profit providers, including Medicare- and Medicaid-certified home health agencies, and Private Duty (licensed-only) home care agencies. HCAF offers a vast array of continuing education and professional development, public policy representation and analysis, networking opportunities, and other members-only services all year long. On the education front, HCAF hosts the HomeCareCon Annual Conference & Trade Show every summer, which features dozens of workshops and sessions offering continuing education credits for attendees. The Florida home care industry's leading and largest event of the year, HomeCareCon boasts leading experts in home care, the law, finance, sales and marketing, human resources, technology, business intelligence, and other sectors. Additionally, our annual Home Care Warm Up builds on HomeCareCon every winter with a two-day program for Medicare providers. Our annual Private Care Symposium provides a one-day, one-of-a-kind event for providers on the private pay side. Between in-person workshops, webinars, telecourses, and special events, HCAF offers nearly 100 education-based programs each year to sharpen our members' skills and keep them informed on policy developments and best practices.
HCAF works in cooperation with all state and federal government officials and regulatory agencies, including the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
HCAF is a partner of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare, the Partnership for Medicaid Home-Based Care, and a member of the Florida Palliative Care Coalition.
