The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is the premier trade association for the home care industry in Florida. HCAF was founded in 1989 and is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving Florida home care providers and their vendors.
HCAF exists to provide representation, communication, and advocacy for these providers, and to give them the education and information they need to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients and clients in their homes.
HCAF represents both not-for-profit and for-profit providers, including Medicare- and Medicaid-certified home health agencies, and Private Duty (licensed-only) home care agencies. HCAF offers a full array of educational, governmental, and regulatory assistance and representation, training, networking opportunities, and membership services. HCAF's volunteer Board of Directors directs the Association’s activities along with its active committees and membership.
Each year, HCAF hosts HomeCareCon, our Annual Conference & Trade Show, and the largest event of its kind in the Southeast. HomeCareCon features numerous educational sessions that offer continuing education credits, which are presented by the nation’s leading home care experts.
In addition to HomeCareCon, HCAF offers nearly 100 educational programs each year to sharpen our members' skills and keep them informed on new developments and best practices.
HCAF works in cooperation with all state and federal government officials and regulatory agencies, including the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
HCAF is a partner of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare, and the Partnership for Medicaid Home-Based Care, and a member of the Florida Palliative Care Coalition.
