2019 Home Care Salary Survey

For many years now, HCAF has been conducting a salary and fringe benefit survey of the home care industry in Florida. It is our goal to continue helping providers understand how agencies around the state are compensating their employees in order to remain competitive when it comes to recruiting and maintaining staff. HCAF does this by collecting the data through a secure Excel toolkit.

There are important advantages to completing the survey, both personal and organizational. First, respondents receive a complimentary copy of the final report. HCAF members who do not submit a survey seeking a copy can purchase one for $250. Prospective members will pay $350. Second, if enough responses from agencies located in a particular HCAF district are received, a district-specific report will be created in addition to the statewide findings.

The data requested will be very similar to previous years. This year we will be striving to differentiate between rates of pay per hour and per visit – between home health aides that receive insurance benefits and those that do not. We will be asking for the number of branches/locations that the administrator/executive director oversee, in hopes of establishing ranges based on number of locations that are being overseen. Finally, we have removed questions regarding respiratory therapists due to many years of too little responses.

By collecting and reporting the survey electronically, we can save printing, postage, and data entry costs while also being less wasteful. It is our hope that you will find it to be a more convenient and efficient process for storing and reviewing the report as well.
