AHCA Delays Medicaid EVV Requirement to February 1, 2020

HCAF advocacy efforts to ensure that Medicaid home health care providers have ample time to be in compliance with the federal Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirement, including a meeting this month with Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Secretary Mary Mayhew, led to a delay of the mandate. Initially scheduled for implementation on October 1, 2019,
AHCA soft-launched the mandate on December 1, 2019, but the latest delay prohibits Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) health plans from enforcing payment penalties until February 1, 2020.
