QIN-QIO Support to Remain Delayed Through Fall 2019

Quality improvement support that the Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) provides to Medicare-certified home health providers as a Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) will be interrupted through the fall.
During the past five years, HSAG has been contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to drive specific, results-oriented quality improvement efforts to aid in the transformation of the health care system. CMS last week delayed the start of HSAG's new contract until as early as this September or as late as November. HSAG fully expects to resume the QIN-QIO project at that time. This delay affects all QIN-QIOS – not just HSAG – and will impact the work they can do for you after July 17, 2019.
What does this mean to you?
HSAG will not be able to participate in the community coalition or site visit meetings until the official contract has been awarded between September and November 2019. HSAG will not be able to distribute any community or facility/agency data or reports until the official contract has been awarded at that time.
HSAG encourages providers to continue the important work that is being done through community coalitions, post-acute meetings, etc., in hopes that they can re-join those efforts when the new contract is awarded.
