Meet the Speaker

Ricky Smith is President of Innovative Business Technologies (IBT), a SOC 2®-compliant cloud service provider and managed information technology (IT) service organization that works primarily with health care providers.

Prior to IBT, Ricky spent over a decade with McKesson Information Solutions, a home care and hospice product group. As Director of Technical Services, he became passionate about IT's ability to facilitate patient care. In addition to over 20 years in health care IT, Ricky spent several years as a systems engineer and telecommunications technician in a high-profile financial and chemical engineering sector.

Ongoing research on technology trends, as it relates to health care providers, allows him to maintain expertise in data security, compliancy, business continuity, and risk analysis.
