Coding is a core element of Home Health, yet it is very complex under ICD-10. The FY2020 ICD-CM final code set includes 273 new, 30 revised and 21 deleted codes as well as 98 Tabular Instruction changes
This session will review the October 2019 coding updates. Changes and challenging coding areas will be reviewed. In addition, key parts of coding under PDGM will be reviewed as beginning January 2020 the PDGM Clinical Groupings will be a key factor in coding and will have enormous impact to your agency.
- Participants will gain an understanding of the ICD-10 coding changes as of October 2019
- Participants will gain an understanding of changes in coding practices as they relate to PDGM
- Participants will learn how PDGM will impact their agency when it comes to coding
This program will provide 1.5 continuing education units for skilled nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Physical therapy credits are pending.
