About Us

Since 1989, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF), a respected non-profit trade association, has been providing home care organizations with resources, education, and advocacy to help them deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients and clients in their homes. Our members include both for-profit and not-for-profit providers, including agencies that provide Medicare- and Medicaid-funded services, as well as Private Duty (licensed only) agencies. In addition, we have Associate members who offer products and services to home care providers. We do this through robust representation, effective communication, continuous education, strategic networking, and steadfast advocacy. We're fully committed to advancing the home care sector.

Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Membership Growth & Retention to lead our expansion efforts. This dynamic role requires an individual with a broad understanding of the Florida home care landscape, from Medicare to Private Duty, and a proven track record of convincing individuals and organizations that home care is the answer! Residing in Florida, candidates should possess the enthusiasm and flexibility to traverse the state, cultivating relationships with potential and existing members.

Responsibilities

  • Membership Expertise: Deep familiarity with the nuances of Certified, Private Duty, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies in Florida. A comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational intricacies, and industry requirements is essential.
  • Strategic Networking: Leverage exceptional networking skills to foster relationships with a wide array of industry stakeholders, driving membership growth and retention.
  • Innovative Mindset: Infuse creativity into the design and implementation of educational programs and pioneering services that magnetize, support, and sustain new members.
  • Recruiting Impact: You will lead efforts to increase the volume of all of our home care provider and associate memberships.
  • Marketing Force: While it will be your responsibility to distribute recruitment and retention communications, you will also coordinate with the Senior Director of Policy, Advocacy & Communications as to the look and feel of this collateral and messaging.
  • Autonomous Drive: Demonstrate self-motivation, proactive initiative, and the capacity to work independently and remotely, showcasing proficiency with technology.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A successful history of recruitment and retention strategies within a membership-driven environment, ideally within the health care or home care sectors.
  • Industry Acumen: Proficiency in the operations, needs, and regulations governing Certified, Private Duty, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies in Florida.
  • Communications Mastery: Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills is essential. The ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, engage audiences, and forge connections through compelling communication is crucial.
  • Travel: 25-40% in-state travel commitment to engage potential members and participate in educational programming.
  • Location: Ideally situated in the middle or southern part of Florida or within burgeoning home care business hubs within Florida.
  • Passion: A deep-seated commitment to the betterment of Florida's home care community.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work remotely, remaining motivated and productive without constant supervision.

  • Salary: $75,000 annually plus commission bonuses
