About Us

Since 1989, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF), a respected non-profit trade association, has been providing home care organizations with resources, education, and advocacy to help them deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients and clients in their homes. We do this through robust representation, effective communication, continuous education, strategic networking, and steadfast advocacy. Our members include both for-profit and not-for-profit providers, including Private Duty (licensed only) agencies and agencies that provide Medicare- and Medicaid-funded services. In addition, we have Associate members who offer products and services to home care providers. We're fully committed to advancing the home care sector.

Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our expansion efforts. This dynamic role requires an individual with an understanding of the Florida home care landscape, from Private Duty to Medicare, and a proven track record of convincing individuals and organizations that home care is the answer! Residing in Florida, candidates should possess the enthusiasm and flexibility to traverse the state, cultivating relationships with potential and existing members of our Association.


  • Home Care Expertise: Connect, recruit, and retain members for our Association using your familiarity with the nuances of Florida Private Duty, Certified, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies.
  • Strategic Networking: Leverage your exceptional networking skills to foster relationships with a wide array of industry stakeholders, driving membership growth and retention.
  • Innovative Mindset: Infuse creativity into the design and implementation of educational programs and pioneering services that magnetize, support, and sustain new and existing members.
  • Recruiting Impact: Lead efforts to increase the volume of all of our home care provider and associate memberships.
  • Marketing Acumen: Collaborate to shape recruitment and retention communications, ensuring a compelling look and feel of this collateral and messaging.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist HCAF members with state and federal regulatory issues. Direct those with deeper clinical and regulatory questions to teammates for support with questions that may go beyond your scope of knowledge.
  • Autonomous Drive: Demonstrate self-motivation, proactive initiative, and the capacity to work independently and remotely, showcasing proficiency with technology.


  • Home Care Experience: Minimum 2 years working for a Florida Private Duty home care agency, and a minimum 2 years working for a Florida Medicare-Certified home care agency.
  • Marketing Experience: A successful history of recruitment and retention strategies within a membership-driven environment, ideally within the health care or home care sectors. Sales, marketing, or recruiting experience (minimum required: 1 year)
  • Industry Expertise: Understanding of the operations, needs, and regulations governing Private Duty, Certified, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies in Florida.
  • Education: Bachelor's (preferred)
  • Licenses: Florida Driver's License (required), Clinical License (preferred)
  • Communications Mastery: Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills is essential. The ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, engage audiences, and forge connections through compelling communication is crucial.
  • Travel: A commitment to 25-40% in-state travel to engage potential members and participate in educational programming.
  • Region: Ideal candidate already resides in the middle or southern part of Florida or within burgeoning home care business hubs within Florida.
  • Passion: A deep-seated commitment to the betterment of Florida's home care community.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work remotely, remaining motivated and productive without constant supervision.

Job Details:

  • Job Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Work Location: Tallahassee Florida office or there is the opportunity for the appropriate candidate to remotely work from home within the state of Florida.
