A free webinar from the Home Care Association of New York State (HCA) will provide information and lessons about the Home Care Sepsis Initiative and Tool on December 12, 2017 at 2 PM EST.

The webinar will discuss lessons learned about the clinical use of the Home Care Sepsis Initiative and Tool.

In addition, a major foundation project grant to promote statewide adoption, use, and cross-sector collaboration in sepsis response was recently awarded to HCA. Explanation of this initiative and implementation will be provided, as it can be adopted in other states, in other sectors and in innovative models (e.g. sepsis bundles). Case examples will help to further clarify the clinical application of early recognition and treatment of sepsis.

By the end of the webinar, viewers will be able to
· Describe the HCA Home Care Sepsis Initiative and Tool;
· Identify areas for adoption, use, and cross-sector collaboration in sepsis response;
· Discuss clinical case examples to further understand the use of the screening and how it can be applied to your environment.

NAHC President Bill Dombi is on the steering committee of the Sepsis Alliance.

Speaking during the webinar will be Al Cardillo, Amy Bowerman, RN BSN, and Eve Bankert (MT ASCP).
